Pocket AI
We name this Pocket AI for 2 reasons:
It’s pocket-sized, meaning it can run autonomously on a handheld device that fits in your pocket. (Raspberry Pi 4 or similar)
Currently we are keeping details about Pocket AI “in our back pocket” until we complete a launch strategy that meets our mission.
Like many technologies, current AI is helping to accelerate wealth concentration. This is opposite to our purpose and goals – which are increasing shared ownership, expanding overall wealth and access to opportunities, and helping workers escape poverty.
Undoubtedly AI is on track to replace workers, many of us, from many professions. The system that profits from poverty tells us, “That’s just the way things are”, or “This is the price of progress”.
At Level UP, we don’t agree. These changes are further symptoms of the underlying motivation of “profit in spite of the costs”.
We are not saying no to “progress”. We are saying that progress can be more inclusive. That progress should not come at the cost of society, or sections of our larger communities. And we believe it doesn’t need to.
AI can be a tool to raise the sustainability of our society – if the model is structured to do so.
As Pocket AI is part of our “in-house” technology we have the control, and we have chosen “Benefit For All” as our motivation.
